In 2008, Foundation 58 was able to help Bobby Shea with his medical expenses while he was battling a courageous battle with cancer. It is with a heavy heart that I pass along this message from the Scranton Fire Department:
IT IS WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY THAT WE INFORM YOU OF THE PASSING OF OUR BROTHER AND FRIEND
CHAUFFEUR ROBERT SHEA

Robert Shea passed away today, January 15, 2009. Bobby passed after a long courageous battle with cancer. Robert Shea began his fire fighting career with the Scranton Fire Bureau in March of 2002 and was promoted to Chauffeur assigned to Engine 9. Prior to working at SFD Robert was a firefighter at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre airport. Those of us who knew Bobby will miss him dearly. God Bless!
